Safe, filed, tested
Licensed Gas Line Installation & Repair
Gas work is the one place where there is no such thing as a small shortcut. Every line we run is pressure-tested, filed with the town and signed off before it carries gas. If you smell gas right now, leave the house and call National Grid from outside.

Gas Line Services on Long Island, Explained
If you smell gas
Do not flip switches, do not use your phone indoors, and do not go looking for the source. Get everyone out of the house, leave the door open behind you, and call National Grid from outside or from a neighbor. Their emergency response is free and they will come.
Once the utility has made the property safe, that is when we come in — to find the fault, repair the line, pressure-test it and get it recertified. We cannot and should not be your first call in an active leak.
Appliance hookups
Ranges, dryers, boilers, pool heaters, generators and outdoor grill lines are all routine work. The part that is not routine is what happens when you add a load to a system that was piped for less. A whole-house generator in particular is a large draw, and dropping one onto an existing line without recalculating is how you end up with a boiler that nuisance-trips every cold snap.
We size the run, confirm the meter can carry the total, and file it.
Converting from oil to gas
Plenty of Long Island houses still run on oil, and conversion remains one of the better returns available on an older home — lower running cost, no tank to fail, and no delivery to schedule.
The job spans a gas service from the street, an internal run to the boiler, the new appliance itself, chimney lining or direct venting, and decommissioning the oil tank. We coordinate the whole sequence, including the parts that are the utility’s to do, so you are not project-managing four trades yourself.
CSST and older black iron
Flexible corrugated stainless tubing is fast to install and perfectly good pipe, provided it is bonded correctly — an unbonded CSST system is a genuine lightning risk. We check bonding on every system we touch, including work we did not do.
Older black iron is usually fine structurally. What ages is the joint compound and the unions. Those are cheap to renew and worth doing while we are already in there.

Good questions
Gas Line Services: What People Ask Us.
What do I do if I smell gas?
Leave the house immediately without touching switches, and call National Grid from outside. Their emergency response is free. Call us afterward for the repair, the pressure test and the recertification.
Can you run a gas line for a generator or pool heater?
Yes, and we size it against your total load first. Adding a large appliance to an existing line without recalculating is how you end up with a boiler that trips on the coldest night of the year.
