Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies this site uses, what each one does, and how to turn them off. It is short, because we do not use many.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something between page loads — that you dismissed a banner, for example, or which pages you have already read.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They remember your cookie preferences, keep form submissions secure against cross-site request forgery, and hold the contents of a quote request while you fill it in.
No personal information is stored in these beyond what is needed for that page to function.
Analytics Cookies
These tell us which pages people actually read and where they leave. We use them to decide what to write next and what to fix.
Pages visited and time spent on them.
Approximate location, by city rather than address.
Device type, browser and screen size.
How you reached the site — a search, a link, or directly.
Analytics data is aggregated. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Advertising Cookies
If we run local search or social advertising, these measure whether an ad led to a quote request. They are only set if you accept them.
Turning Cookies Off
Use the cookie settings link in the footer to change your choices at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — every major browser has this under Privacy.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working, including the quote form.
